bUILDING Fragrance
The brief :
To gain the understanding of how brands tell stories in order to influence and persuade consumers to engage, share and buy.
This required the production team and I to understand how brands are storytelling and playing a fundamental role in all our lives. Giving the team an opportunity to create and develop a new brand that tells a story and connects with the right consumers.
Individuality I brought to the production:
Individuality I brought to the production:
To elevate our brand and help communicate our idea of the finished fragrance bottle, I took it upon myself to learn how to create in Adobe illustrator and Adobe Dimension to turn the final mock-up sketch of the bottle into 3D. The reason why I did this is because I always wanted to learn how to do 3D dimensional products and I didn’t think it would be too complex to figure out.
Also, whilst working amongst the team I began to realise that the look and aesthetic of the fragrance bottle was important to them as it was our selling point and way of storytelling the type of consumers that would be interested in purchasing the product, this is because we based the line of the fragrance bottles on different crystals as at the time it was Covid-19. Spirituality and self-care were on the rise to help cope with the new normality of life, we also combined the bottles with different essential aromas to connect it to aroma therapy, which is a form of sensory soothing when stressed, anxious or tense and different aromas can help relieve this.
